Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry at The Lighthouse is an extension of the Men's Ministry. Our job as wives and women is not to tear down the men in our lives, but rather, to encourage, help strengthen and pray for our husbands, future husbands, and the young men who will grow into mighty men of God.
As a woman, your place in the kingdom of God is not as a footstool, but as a bride of Christ. Being a bride of Christ means that our goal is to show you who you are in Christ. Too many women have sold themselves into a slavery of their own devices -- it's time for ladies to be all they can be in Christ Jesus.
Our job is also to teach and encourage our young ladies to become handmaidens of the Lord, to do their best for the Lord, for their families, for their places of employment, and for their communities
The women's ministry put on the fashion show to benefit The Good Samaritan Thrift Store. As the ministry grows, we will delve more into what it means to be a woman of God -- a unique individual who holds a special place in God's heart.
It is also our desire to show that a life of being submissive one to another does not mean that one is being subservient; a woman of God who is not swayed by the dictates of the world is a very strong woman, indeed.
