Youth Ministry
Youth are a vibrant part of any church. We wish to have a bold, on-fire group of teens at The Lighthouse who are not afraid of calling on the name of the Lord Jesus, as well as having a lot of fun!
We have almost 15 acres of land to plan fun activities such as paint-balling, baseball, and other fun activities that can show the world that you can love the Lord and still be able to do cool things! We also have a volleyball net outside where the teens can play a mean game of volleyball, or bad mitten. We'd also like to set up some "No Fear 'Cause We're On FIRE" nights, featuring some local bands that lift up the name of Jesus.
The youth have gone kayaking/canoeing at Trap Pond Park, they've gone to a youth rally, a Need To Breathe concert, they've helped with Fall Fest, running the sound and multi-media projection; they've also volunteered at The Good Samaritan Thrift Store a time or two.
We plan on doing more at the Good Samaritan, as well as other places to show that to be great in this kingdom, we must be least, and that means to serve our fellow brothers and sisters. If you'd like to grow in the Lord, be of service to others, and have some fun, then check out The Lighthouse when we have Family Night on Wednesday Nights at 7 PM.
College Students - if you're missing home, then make sure you attend The Lighthouse on "Come as You Are" Sunday -- the second Sunday of every month. Directly after service, we'll have a fellowship dinner; come, have a home-cooked meal on us! Then, we hope you make The Lighthouse Church your spiritual home away from home!
